On Christmas day
Someone gave me a fir tree.
I didn’t have to buy it
I got it for free.

Someone asked to decorate it
And make it glow,
So that it reminded of a tree
Covered with snow.

The minute I did so
It started to snow.
Since then I believe
In miracles, goodness and hope.
