School

Since 1939 when Siauliai Conservatoire was founded this institution has been the cultural and educational center of northern Lithuania. It has been popular with young, talented students from all over Lithuania. A lot of famous Lithuanian composers, conductors, musicians were graduated from Siauliai Conservatoire.
Nowadays those who are good at singing, dancing, acting and playing musical instruments choose to study at Siauliai Conservatoire as it offers a number of integrated educational programs. After passing their state or school exams for GCSE and exams in music theory, having credits in playing music instrument(s), singing or acting our students are free to choose studies at any institution of higher education in Lithuania. The majority of school leavers continue studies at Lithuanian Music and Theatre Academy. However, the others after passing the entrance examinations prefer studying law, medicine, business, etc. in various universities and colleges in Lithuania and abroad.

At present our school has two buildings. One of them is located in the very centre of the town. The other building which we have recently moved in is situated in the western part of Siauliai. We have 160 students aged 14 - 18 studying in 9th - 12th forms. Every year our school Students’ Board initiates and organizes a number of events and parties, competitions and quizes, which are enjoyed both by teachers and pupils. Traditionally Christmas Eve, St. Valentine, Shrove Tuesday, Easter festivities are held at school. Music and theatre events (concerts, performances) are organized as well.
